Judge Lee Robert Bogdanoff received his A.B. in history and political science Phi Beta Kappa and as a Regent Scholar from the University of California, Davis in 1982 and his J.D. Order of the Coif from University of California, Berkeley – School of Law in 1985. During law school he served as Associate Editor of the California Law Review. After passing the California in 1985, he worked as a law clerk to Justice David A. Thompson at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals before joining law firm Stutman, Triester & Glatt PC. There, he eventually rose to the rank of senior partner until leaving to co-found Klee, Tuchin, Bogdanoff & Stern LLP, where he remained until 2019. In private practice, he focused his work on insolvency and reorganization. During this time, he was a fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy and member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. From 2017 until his appointment to the bench, he volunteered at The Legal Aid Foundation, Los Angeles in the domestic violence clinic and as a judge pro tem at the Los Angeles Superior Court. He was appointed to the bench in 2020 by Governor Gavin Newsom.
