Judge Andrew Choi Kim received his B.A. from University of California, Berkeley and his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law. After passing the California bar in 1998, he worked as a contract attorney for Jackson & Abdalah until 1999 when he joined the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. He was appointed to the bench in 2016 by Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr. He also serves as an adjunct professor at Western State College of Law. He is a democrat.
