Judge Colin Philip Leis received his B.A. from Harvard University and his J.D. from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law. After passing the California bar in 1989, he worked as an associate at O’Melveny and Myers until 1994 when he joined the Second District Court of Appeal as a senior judicial attorney. He remained in that role until he was appointed to the bench in 2014 by Governor Jerry Brown. He is a democrat.
