Judge James Joseph Di Cesare received his B.A. from California State University at Fullerton in 1969 and his J.D. from Pepperdine Law School in 1973. After passing the California bar in 1973, he worked as an associate at Aitken, Bradshaw & Andres until 1976 when he became a partner at Di Cesare & Weaver. In 1985, he established his own practice, where he remained until he joined Di Cesare & Behle as a partner in 2000. While in private practice, he focused on personal injury, professional negligence, and product liability, as well as working in criminal defense, administrative law, workers’ compensation, and family law. He was appointed to the bench in 2001 by Governor Gray Davis.
