Judge James Lawrence Crandall received his B.A. in Economics from California State University, San Jose in 1967 and his J.D. from Loyola University School of Law, Los Angeles in 1970. He passed the California bar in 1971. After working as an associate and then partner at Spray, Gould & Bowers, he was a founding partner of Crandall, Wade & Lowe. His practice focused on insurance litigation, bad faith, premises liability, environmental litigation, products liability, homeowners association litigation and counseling, directors and officer's liability, employment law, real estate litigation, and business litigation. He is a republican.
