Judge Linda Stockfish Marks received her undergraduate degree in English and film from UCLA and her J.D. from Southwestern Law School. After passing the California bar in 1985, she worked as a deputy public defender in Los Angeles before joining Earley, Baruch & Marks. In 1998 she joined Marks & Yocum where she remained until 2002 when she became a sole practitioner, focusing on personal injury and arbitration. During this time, she was affiliated with Judicate West. She also served as a judge pro tem in the Orange County Superior Court handling small claims and traffic cases, and as an adjunct professor teaching alternative dispute resolution at Western State School of Law. She was appointed to the bench in 2003 by Governor Gray Davis.
