Judge Olivia Rosales received her B.A. in English from UCLA in 1988 and her J.D. from UCLA School of Law in 1991. After passing the California bar in 1992, she worked as a deputy attorney general until 1995 when she became a deputy district attorney in Los Angeles. She was appointed to the bench in 2009 by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and is a republican.
