Judge Richard Young Lee received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his J.D. from USC School of Law. After passing the California bar in 1997, he became a research attorney at the Los Angeles Superior Court until joining Paul, Hastings, Janofsky, & Walker LLP in 1998 where he practiced employment law. In 2001, he joined the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Central District of California. He was appointed to the bench in 2010 by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. He has also taught courses in trial advocacy and children and the justice system at UCI School of Law. He is a republican.
