Originally from Missouri but raised in Southern California, Judge Salvatore Thomas Sirna received his B.S. in international relations and engineering cum laude at the top of his class from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1990. After graduation, he received a commission in the U.S. Army as an officer and served on active duty until 1994 when he attended Whittier College of Law, obtaining his J.D. in 1997 while serving on the Whittier Law Review. He also served in the Army’s Individual Ready Reserves until being honorably discharged in 2004. After passing the California bar in 1997, he was an associate at Prindle, Decker and Amaro until 2002 when he became a partner at Beck, Sirna and Jenkins and then a partner at Cammarano and Sirna in 2006. While in private practice, he focused on corporate defense work with an emphasis on risk management and assessment, transportation, premises liability, recreational activities and immunity, entertainment, transportation, hotel and hospitality, and technology. He has been a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association, Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, and served on the Military Academy Selection Committee for United States Congressman Ed Royce. He is also a member of the Hawaii and Nevada bars. He was appointed to the bench in 2010 by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and is a republican.
