Judge Teresa Alma Beaudet received her B.A. from Loyola Marymount University in 1974, her M.A. from Loyola Marymount University in 1976, and her J.D. from Loyola Law School Los Angeles in 1980. After passing the California bar exam in 1980, she was an associate at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton until she joined Mayer, Brown, Row & Maw in 1988, becoming partner in 1990. She was appointed to the bench by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2008, and is a Democrat.
