Background

Plaintiff American Financial Center, Inc. (“Plaintiff”) brings this action against Defendants Birgitta Lauren and Eric Yohan aka Eric Knipe (collectively “Defendants”). This case was originally filed as an unlawful detainer action concerning the real property located at 2010 S. Beverly Blvd., #101, Los Angeles, California 90025. Plaintiff obtained a default judgment against Defendants for possession of the premises. Defendants moved to vacate or set aside this judgment, which was denied by the Court on August 9, 2021. The Court subsequently granted Plaintiff’s motion to reclassify the action as an unlimited civil action.

Plaintiff was previously represented in this action by Natalie Panossian-Bassler, who has filed a motion to be relieved as counsel for Plaintiff. Counsel’s motion is unopposed.

Analysis

The instant motion was filed on April 17, 2023. On May 3, 2023, Plaintiff filed a Substitution of Attorney form indicating attorney Peter De Domenico has substituted in as counsel for Plaintiff in this action. As Natalie Panossian-Bassler is no longer acting as counsel for Plaintiff in this action, her motion to be relieved as counsel is moot.

Conclusion

The motion to be relieved as counsel filed by Natalie Panossian-Bassler is DENIED as moot.
