Plaintiff Al Fuastino de Guzman applies ex parte to continue the hearing on defendants’ motion for summary judgment and to continue the trial and related deadlines.  A party who needs additional discovery to oppose a motion for summary judgment may apply ex parte to continue the hearing.  (CCP § 437c(h).)  Plaintiff shows he needs specific additional discovery: the deposition of defendant Pacifica of the Valley Corporation’s person most knowledgeable.

Defendants agreed to continue the hearing on the motion for summary judgment and to continue the trial.  The court finds good cause for a short continuance.
