Cross-Defendant Crescenta Valley Water District’s Notice of Related Case

Cross-defendant Crescenta Valley Water District seeks to relate this case to Perry Lazar, et al., v. County of Los Angeles, et al., No. 22STCV34822.  (This case is already related to Perry Lazar v. Korb, No. 21STCV34102.)

The cases are related.  All three include various disputes between many parties over the same real property: two intersecting parcels of land in the County of Los Angeles, APN 5867-0011-35 and -036.  The cases arise from the same events requiring determination of substantially identical questions of law or fact.  They involve claims against, title to, and damages to the same real property.  Having a different judge hear the newest case would require substantial duplication of judicial resources.

The court finds the cases are related.

Perry Lazar, et al., v. County of Los Angeles, et al., No. 22STCV34822 is hereby reassigned to Department 52 at Stanley Mosk Courthouse.
