Romero Law, APC’s Motion to Be Relieved as Counsel for Plaintiff Leo Simi

Attorney Yaqi Xie of Romero Law, APC moves to be relieved as counsel for plaintiff Leo Simi.  The motion meets all requirements under California Rules of Court, rule 3.1362. 

Plaintiff filed an opposition.  He raises significant and valid concerns, but the court will exercise its discretion to grant the motion.  The trial is set for May 29, 2024.  Plaintiff will have sufficient time to find new counsel by then.  The court has not ruled out the possibility of continuing the trial later, if necessary.

Plaintiff’s counsel’s motion to be relieved as counsel is granted.  The court will sign the proposed order submitted on form MC-053.  The order shall be effective upon filing proof of service of the signed order on plaintiff Leo Simi.
