Order to Show Cause Re: Plaintiff A.M.G.’s Use of a Fictitious Name

When the court set this order to show cause regarding plaintiff A.M.G.’s use of a fictitious name, defendants Archdiocese of Los Angeles and Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church had not been named or served with the summons and complaint.  Plaintiff has now served defendants. 

Plaintiff served notice of today’s case management conference but has not shown proof of service of notice of the hearing on this order to show cause regarding plaintiff’s use of a fictitious name.  Defendants are entitled to proper notice and an opportunity to be heard on whether plaintiff should be permitted to use the fictitious name A.M.G.  The court will therefore continue this hearing.

Coordination

            This case may be eligible for coordination with Judicial Council Coordinated Proceeding No. 5101, the Southern California Clergy Cases.  The court will therefore set an order to show cause re: coordination. 

Disposition

            The order to show cause re: plaintiff A.M.G.’s use of a fictitious name is hereby continued to March 29, 2023, at 9:00 a.m.
