Plaintiff Mister Pukka’s attorney of record, Samuel Dordulian (“Counsel”), seeks to be relieved as counsel, contending there has been an irreconcilable breakdown of the attorney-client relationship, and Counsel cannot continue to represent Plaintiff in the manner Plaintiff wishes. Counsel declares it served the moving papers on Plaintiff via mail at Plaintiff’s last known address. This matter was last heard on December 8, 2022, where it was continued to January 12, 2023. On December 9, 2022, Counsel filed notice of the continued hearing date together with the moving papers on Plaintiff and Defendant.
The motion is unopposed and granted; the ruling is effective upon filing proof of service of the final order. The Court notes the next scheduled matters are an Order to Show Cause Re: Dismissal and a Trial Setting Conference scheduled on January 30, 2023. The Court will continue the Order to Show Cause and the Trial Setting Conference for a brief period of approximately 30 days to _________________ at 8:30 a.m. in this Department to allow Plaintiff additional time seek other counsel or otherwise prepare for the hearings. Plaintiff is put on express notice that failure to appear at the Order to show Cause Re: Dismissal or Trial Setting Conference may result in this action being dismissed.
