On May 26, 2022, Neiman Marcus Group, LLC (“Neiman”) filed the instant motion for leave to file a first amended answer.  However, on June 13, 2022, Natura Bisse International, Inc. filed a Notice of Removal to Federal Court providing that the action was removed to the United States District Court for the Central District of California.  The removal of the case to the Federal court stayed proceedings in this action, and no notice has been filed indicating that the matter has been remanded back to this court.

Further, on August 4, 2022, Plaintiff filed a Request to Dismiss Neiman with prejudice.

Therefore, Neiman motion for leave to file a first amended answer is taken off calendar.

Neiman is ordered to give notice.

• Parties are encouraged to meet and confer after reading this tentative ruling to see if they can reach an agreement.
• If a party intends to submit on this tentative ruling, the party must send an email to the court at sscdept31@lacourt.org with the Subject line “SUBMIT” followed by the case number.  The body of the email must include the hearing date and time, counsel’s contact information, and the identity of the party submitting.
