 [TENTATIVE] ORDER GRANTING DEFENDANTS’ UNOPPOSED MOTION TO DEEM REQUEST FOR ADMISSIONS ADMITTED Dept. 31 1:30 p.m. October 4, 2022  | 
Defendants Antonio Regla, dba Antonio Trucking erroneously sued and served as Antonio Regla, an individual, and Antonio’s Trucking, Inc., a corporation (collectively, “Defendants”) propounded request for admissions (“RFAs”), set one on Plaintiff Duran Bowie (“Plaintiff”) on February 2, 2022.  To date, despite attempts to meet and confer, Plaintiff has not served responses.  Defendants therefore seek an order deeming the RFAs admitted and imposing sanctions.
Defendants’ motion to deem RFAs, set one, admitted is unopposed and granted.  (CCP §2033.280(b).)
Sanctions are mandatory.  (CCP § 2033.280(c).)  The Court awards Defendants one hour for preparing the motion and one hour to appear at the hearing all at the requested rate of $200 per hour, for a total attorney fees award of $400.  The Court awards also awards Defendants the motion filing fee of $60 in costs. 
Sanctions are sought and imposed against Plaintiff, who is in pro per.  Plaintiff is ordered to pay sanctions to Defendants, by and through their attorney of record, in the total amount of $460.00, within twenty days. 
Defendants are ordered to give notice.
