Plaintiff Kathleen Garcia’s (“Plaintiff”) attorney of record, Bradley G. Hayes (“Counsel”), has filed a motion to be relieved as counsel, contending relief is necessary because there has been a total breakdown in the attorney-client relationship. Counsel declares it served the moving papers on Plaintiff via mail at Plaintiff’s last known address. Counsel has filed proof of service on Plaintiff and Defendant.
The motion is unopposed and granted; the ruling is effective upon filing proof of service of the final order. The court notes the trial is set for December 6, 2022, such there is sufficient time for Plaintiff to seek new counsel or otherwise prepare prior to trial or to seek a continuance of trial if necessary.
