The judicial officer has a distant familial relationship to one of the partners at the firm representing defendant Global-Dining, Inc., though not the counsel identified on the opposition to the instant motion to quash subpoenas. The Court does not believe that this will cause her to be biased for or against any party in this case, or that these facts support any ground for disqualification. However, if any of the parties believe otherwise, they must promptly file and serve a verified statement of disqualification pursuant to Code of Civil Procedure section 170.3(c)(1) or they otherwise waive these grounds for recusal.  If no objections are noted, and the parties are willing to go forward, the Court will proceed with the hearing on December 6, 2022.
