[TENTATIVE] ORDER GRANTING MOTION TO BE RELIEVED AS COUNSEL Dept. 31 1:30 p.m. October 28, 2022 |
Plaintiff Felipe Mejia Gomez’s (“Plaintiff”) attorney of record, Carlos A. Gomez, Esq. (“Counsel”), seeks to be relieved as counsel asserting there has been a complete breakdown in the attorney-client relationship. Counsel declares it served the moving papers on Plaintiff via mail at Plaintiff’s last known address. Counsel has filed proof of service on Plaintiff.
The motion is unopposed and granted; the ruling is effective upon filing proof of service of the final order. The Court notes the next scheduled matter is a Final Status Conference set for January 8, 2024, and trial is not scheduled until January 22, 2024. Therefore, there is sufficient time for Plaintiff to seek other counsel or otherwise prepare for trial.
Counsel is ordered to give notice.
