FOR THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES - CENTRAL DISTRICT

Plaintiffs Sharon, Yosef, Arey, and Sarah Kalfon filed this action against Defendants, County of Los Angeles, City of Malibu, and State of California for wrongful death arising out of an automobile accident.  Plaintiffs have dismissed the City and State; the action remains pending against the County only.  On April 4, 2022, Plaintiffs filed a Notice of Settlement of Entire Case providing that the case has been settled and a request for dismissal will be filed. 

At an Order to Show Cause re: Dismissal (Settlement) on June 7, 2022, Plaintiffs requested the hearing on a motion to compel further responses scheduled for February 5, 2020, be continued with the OSC to July 28, 2022.  No party has filed anything relating to a motion to compel further responses set for July 28, 2022.  The last motions to compel further filed in this action were filed by the County on December 30, 2019, which were originally set for hearing on February 5, 2020.  However, the County later took these motions to compel further off calendar.  Therefore, there is no motion to compel further set to go forward in this matter on July 28, 2022.

The hearing on a motion to compel further responses is taken off calendar. 

Plaintiff is ordered to give notice.

• Parties are encouraged to meet and confer after reading this tentative ruling to see if they can reach an agreement.
