JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. (Plaintiff) filed a Complaint on May 19, 2023; the Complaint
contains a single common count for an open book account for money due against
Defendant Robert M. Parsley. Default was entered against Defendant Parsley on
October 12, 2023.
Plaintiff
now moves for default judgment against Defendant Parsley. The request for entry
of default judgment is granted.
Discussion
Plaintiff
seeks entry of default judgment in the amount of $28,719.74. Plaintiff submits
evidence that Defendant Parsley opened an account with Plaintiff for the
purpose of obtaining an extension of credit on July 22, 2015. (Vazquez Decl., ¶ 3.) The last payment on the account by Defendant was
on April 22, 2022. (Vazquez Decl., ¶ 6.) There
is now an unpaid balance of $28,719.74 due on the account. (Vazquez Decl., ¶ 7.)
Plaintiff
does not seek costs, interest or attorney fees. Plaintiff does not seek post-charge-off
interest or fees. (Vazquez Decl., ¶ 8.)
The
request for default judgment is granted.
