Plaintiff Deana Williams' unopposed Motion to Compel Defendant Conventus, LLC's Further Responses to Special Interrogatories, Set One and Request for Monetary Sanctions is GRANTED.

The discovery at issue in this motion is Plaintiff's Special Interrogatories, Nos. 9-17 propounded on July 19, 2023. (ROA 180 – Declaration of Shanna Welsh-Levin at Ex. A.) After several meet and confers and Informal Discovery Conferences, it appears the remaining issues are that Defendant's responses remain incomplete and unverified; and sanctions. The motion is unopposed. On review, Defendant's responses are incomplete and require verification. A further response and sanctions are warranted. (C.C.P., § 2030.250 ['The party to whom the interrogatories are directed shall sign the response under oath unless the response contains only objections.']; C.C.P., § 2030.300(a)(1) & (d).) Thus, the motion is GRANTED.

Defendant Conventus, LLC is ordered to serve a further, verified and code-compliant (see C.C.P., § 2030.210, et seq) response to Plaintiff's Special Interrogatories, Set One, Nos. 9-17 without objections by May 3, 2024. For reference, the interrogatories are reflected in Exhibit A to the Declaration of Shanna Welsh-Levin. (ROA 185.) Defendant Conventus, LLC is ordered to pay monetary sanctions in the amount of $6,510 to Plaintiff Deana Williams by May 3, 2024.

This minute order will be the Court's final ruling. Plaintiff is ordered to serve written notice of the Court's final ruling on all appearing parties by April 16, 2024.
