Discussion Plaintiff Kobe La duly-served Defendant Gabriel Douglas Ramos with Form Interrogatories, Request for Production of Documents, Special Interrogatories and Request for Admissions. Defendant did not respond. Plaintiff met and conferred and Defendant did not respond. Defendant also did not attend an Informal Discovery Conference set by the Court.

An order compelling responses to Form Interrogatories, Special Interrogatories and Request for Production of Documents is warranted. (C.C.P., §§ 2030.290(a)-(b), 2031.300(a)-(b).) An order deeming the Requests for Admissions admitted is warranted. (C.C.P., § 2033.280(c).) Sanctions are also warranted and substantiated, but the Court will reduce the amount sought by one hour for each motion since Plaintiff did not have to reply to an opposition. (C.C.P., §§ 2030.290(c), 2031.300(c), 2033.280(c).) Accordingly, the motions are GRANTED IN PART.

Concluding Orders Defendant Gabriel Douglas Ramos is ordered to serve a verified response to Plaintiff Kobe La's Form Interrogatories, Set One without objections, by April 19, 2024. For reference, the interrogatories are attached to the Declaration of Mark Simpliciano at Exhibit A. (ROA 26.) Defendant is also ordered to pay Calendar No.: Event ID:  TENTATIVE RULINGS

Defendant is also ordered to pay monetary sanctions in the amount of $1,475 to Plaintiff by April 19, 2024.
