Tentative Ruling

 

MOTION OF DEFENDANT FORD MOTOR COMPANY TO COMPEL ARBITRATION AND STAY ACTION is CONTINUED.

 

Background

 

This is a lemon law case.

 

On September 2, 2022, Plaintiffs STEVE SAYEGH and MARISSA MARTINEZ (collectively, “Plaintiffs”) filed suit against Defendant Ford Motor Company (“Defendant”).

 

On October 10, 2022, Defendant filed its Answer.

 

On November 16, 2022, Defendant filed the instant motion to compel arbitration.

 

On April 12, 2023, in light of the Ford Motor Warranty Cases (2023) 89 Cal.App.5th 1324 (Ochoa) the court continued the hearing and asked for supplemental briefing.  

 

As June 1, 2023, the court continued the hearing pending Ochoa.  

 

Discussion

 

As the California Supreme Court has granted the petition for review in Ochoa, the court continues the hearing.
