Tentative Ruling

DEFENDANT MOUNTAIN VIEW SCHOOL DISTRICT’S NOTICE OF APPLICATION AND VERIFIED APPLICATION FOR PRO HAC VICE ADMISSION FOR DANIELLE PASCALE is GRANTED.

Background

This is a complaint for personal injuries and damages arising from childhood sexual abuse.

On July 15, 2022, Plaintiffs JANE DOE 1 and JANE DOE 2 filed suit against MOUNTAIN VIEW SCHOOL DISTRICT (“Defendant” or “District”).

On October 24, 2022, Plaintiffs A.A. and B.A filed their amended complaint (FAC).

On February 15, 2023, the court heard oral argument on Defendant’s demurrer, which it sustained with leave to amend.

On March 17, 2023, Defendant filed its answer.

On May 28, 2024, the instant application was filed.

On June 26, 2024, the District filed a notice of non-receipt of an opposition to its application.

Discussion

The District moves for an order granting pro hac vice admission of the New York attorney Danielle Pascale, of Tyson & Mendes LLP, an attorney licensed in the State of New York, to appear on its behalf pro hac vice, along with California counsel, Harry W. Harrison, in the above-entitled matter.

Here, as all procedural requirements of CRC Rule 3.1200, et seq. and Rule 9.40, et seq. have been met, including proper notice of this application and submission of this application with the required fees to the State Bar of California, the court grants the application.

Conclusion

Based on the foregoing, the application is granted.[1]
