The hearing on Plaintiffs’ motion for attorneys’ fees is CONTINUED to March 16, 2023 at 8:30 a.m.

Because Plaintiffs filed a memorandum of costs, and Defendant has a motion to tax costs set for hearing on March 16, 2023, no costs or expenses will be awarded by way of this motion, but rather, by way of the memorandum of costs/motion to tax costs procedure. 

The Altman Law Group, is to file their motion for attorney’s fees, costs and expenses with a March 16, 2023 hearing date, to be briefed pursuant to code relative to that hearing date. 

DISCUSSION:

Motion For Attorneys’ Fees, Costs and Expenses

The parties settled the case, and Plaintiffs now seek an award of attorneys’ fees in the amount of $68,522.50, with a 0.5 enhancement in the amount of $34,261.25, for a total of $102,783.75 in total attorneys’ fees, and costs and expenses in the amount of $20,842.41. 

Plaintiffs indicate that The Altman Law Group, associated trial counsel for Plaintiff, will be filing their own motion for attorney’s fees, costs and expenses. (Notice of Motion, Page 1, footnote 1.) The Court prefers to hear the motions for attorneys’ fees together so that it can ascertain whether there was duplicative billing. As such, the hearing on the motion for attorneys’ fees is CONTINUED to March 16, 2023 at 8:30 a.m.
