Pursuant to California Rule of Court 3.1308(a)(1), the Court does not desire oral argument on the motion addressed herein.  Counsel must contact the staff in Department 76 to inform the Court whether they wish to submit on the tentative, or to argue the matter.  As required by Rule 3.1308(a), any party seeking oral argument must notify ALL OTHER PARTIES and the staff of Department 76 of their intent to appear and argue.

Plaintiff alleges that while she was employed by Defendant Howard Leight Company, LLC as a  stewardess on charter excursions upon a marine vessel, Defendant Jason Moreau attempted to rape her and repeatedly sexually harassed her, and ultimately terminated Plaintiff for refusing Moreau’s sexual advances. Plaintiff also alleges wage and hour violations.

Plaintiff moves to compel responses to form interrogatories – employment set one and special interrogatories propounded upon Defendant Jason Moreau, and requests sanctions.

TENTATIVE RULING

Plaintiff Hannah Karimi’s motion to reopen discovery has been DENIED by order issued on March 4, 2024. In that regard, Plaintiff’s motion to compel responses to form interrogatories – employment set one and special interrogatories propounded upon Defendant Jason Moreau, and requests for sanctions is DENIED.
