Judge: Craig Griffin, Case: Doe7021v.MaterDeiHighSchool, Date: 2022-07-18 Tentative Ruling
The Court has performed the in camera review of the 27
pages submitted to it in both redacted and unredacted form. The Court finds
that the vast majority of the redactions are appropriate and consistent with
the log provided.
However, the Court has questions regarding the following
redactions which it believes may be answered by Plaintiff without disclosing
the contents thereof:
- Page 3737 redacts the name of certain college coaches.
Are these redactions still necessary?
- Page 3746 redacts the last left hand text which responds
to the unredacted texts just above it. Is the redacted text from
Plaintiff’s attorney? If not, why is it redacted?
- Page 3747 contains redactions but is not listed on the
Redaction Log. The redacted matter appears nonresponsive with the
possible exception of the last text on the page. Why should the last
text remain redacted?
- Page 3968 redacts the first two texts on the righthand
side. These texts appear to respond the preceding unredacted text. Why
are they redacted?
- Page 4017 redacts the name of the person with whom
Plaintiff interviewed in the second to the last left hand text. Is this
redaction still necessary?
The Court will discuss these matters at the hearing.
