Judge: Craig Griffin, Case: Ryadon Inc. vs. Uve Pro, Date: 2022-11-28 Tentative Ruling
Attorneys Sahar S. Pugh, Esq., and Saba Sheida, Esq.’s (“Attorneys” together) two Motions to Be Relieved as Counsel (“Motions” together) for defendants Uve Pro and John Nguyen (“Clients” together) are both DENIED.
On 11/07/22, the initial hearing on these Motions came before this court. The court continued the hearing due to 1) Attorneys permitting default judgments to be taken against Clients’ while the Motions were pending; 2) issues with service; and 3) a change of the Case Management Hearing Date. (ROA #138.) The court ordered Attorneys to inform Clients of the defaults and explain what that meant, and prepare a declaration confirming compliance along with information on the service issue and a updated proposed orders. The court ordered Attorneys to file and serve compliance documents no later than 11/16/22. Attorneys were also ordered to give notice of the court’s ruling.
There is nothing in the court’s files showing Attorneys ever filed the items ordered by the court. There is also no evidence Attorneys served notice of the prior ruling.
As Attorneys appear to have disobeyed the court’s orders, the Motions are DENIED.
Court to give notice.
