TENTATIVE RULING:
The Petition for Approval of Compromise
of Claim or Action for Minor by petitioner Gloria Ardalan, Guardian ad Litem
for claimant Aurora Crystals, is CONTINUED to _______________,2022, at 8:30
a.m., in Department 72 (Stanley Mosk Courthouse).
The petition indicates that counsel “bec[a]me concerned with
this matter, directly or indirectly, at the instance of a party against whom
the claim is asserted or a party's insurance carrier.” (Petition ¶ 18(d).)
However, no Attachment 18d explaining the circumstances, as required by item
18(d) of the MC-350 petition, was included.
The petition also indicates that counsel is “representing or
employed by any other party or any insurance carrier involved in the matter.”
(Petition ¶ 18(e).) However, no identification of the party or carrier and explanation
of the relationship, as required by item 18(e) of the MC-350 petition, was
included.
Petitioner states that the money will be deposited in a
blocked interest-bearing account at Wells Fargo. (Ardalan Decl. ¶ 6.)
Petitioner did not include a proposed Judicial Council Form MC-355 Order to
Deposit Funds in Blocked Account.
Petitioner is ordered to serve and file Attachments 18d and 18e
and a proposed MC-355 order within five (5) court days hereof.
