TENTATIVE RULING:

UNOPPOSED application of Vrinda Bhuta to appear as counsel pro hac vice in this action on behalf of plaintiff The Raw Office, Inc. is CONTINUED to February 14, 2023, at 9:30 a.m., in Department 72 (Stanley Mosk Courthouse).

The proof of service of the application to appear as counsel pro hac vice and $50.00 check on the State Bar of California is not executed under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of California, as required by CCP § 2015.5.

Further, the cover letter and copy of the check payable to the State of California was not attached to the declaration of Tailim Song, contrary to the representation in the proof of service. Moving attorney therefore has not demonstrated that the fee required under Rule of Court 9.40(e) to the State Bar of California was paid.

Plaintiff may file and serve supplemental briefing and supporting materials addressing the defects set forth above by no later than January 31, 2023. Any response or opposition thereto, if any, shall be filed and served by no later than February 7, 2023.
