The court, on its own motion, continues this matter to Friday, August 25, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. in this department.

On July 14, 2023, Ryan Cornateanu filed a Notice of Order Assigning Coordination Motion Judge and Setting Date for Hearing (the 'Notice of Coordination Motion'). See ROA No. 32. The Notice of Coordination Motion indicates that on August 16, 2023, a coordination motion judge will conduct a hearing to determine whether the present action and Cornateanu v. Stoneledge Furniture, LLC (Case No. 21STCV09403) are complex and, if so, whether coordination of the cases is appropriate.

Consequently, the court is unable to issue a substantive ruling on the present motion until the coordination proceeding is complete.

In light of the foregoing, the court continues this matter to Friday, August 25, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. in this department. Plaintiffs' counsel is directed to file a status report apprising the court of the outcome of the coordination proceeding on or before August 23, 2023.

This is the tentative ruling for the hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2023. If no party appears at the hearing, this tentative ruling will become the order of the court as of August 4, 2023. If the parties are satisfied with the court's tentative ruling or do not otherwise wish to argue the motion, they are encouraged to give notice to the court and each other of their intention not to appear, though this notice is not required.
