The Court denies Plaintiff’s default judgment packet.
The Court sets a hearing on an order to show cause why the
complaint should not be dismissed and/or Plaintiff’s counsel sanctioned $250
for failing to enter default judgment (California Rule of Court, rule 3.110(h))
on December 20, 2023, at 8:30 AM in Department 71 at Stanley Mosk Courthouse
for the following reasons:

Plaintiff requests interest separate from daily damages that appear to be
an uncalculated value for unpaid interest. The daily damages are not included
in the total amount of judgment to be entered.
It appears Plaintiff seeks interest on the past due rent on as of May 31,
2021, in the amount of $2,759.17 for unpaid rent beginning in April 2020. Plaintiff appears to also seek interest from
and after June 1, 2021, at the daily rate of $12.85, but does not indicate the
total interest sought from this daily calculation. Plaintiff must clarify the
actual amount of interest sought and provide a formula with a calculation of
the values demonstrating how Plaintiff determined that amount (i.e. ([principal
value x .1]/365) x number of days).
