TENTATIVE RULING

Plaintiff Carlos Pineda’s motion to compel further responses from Defendant Kia America, Inc. to his Request for Production of Documents (Set One) is continued to January 2, 2025, at 8:30 AM.  Plaintiff and Defendant are ordered to schedule an IDC with this Court prior to the hearing on the instant motion.

Plaintiff Carlos Pineda (“Pineda”) (“Plaintiff”) moves to compel further responses from Defendant Kia America, Inc. (“KAI”) (“Defendant”) to his Request for Production of Documents (Set One) (“RFP”) Nos. 7-9, 11, 13, 14-21, 22-29, 30, and 31.  (Notice Motion, pg. 2; C.C.P. §2031.310(a)(3).)

Plaintiff failed to comply with this Court’s “Information Regarding Procedures in Department 71 of the Stanley Mosk Courthouse,” which can be found on lacourt.org.  Specifically, Plaintiff failed to schedule an Informal Discovery Conference (“IDC”) before the hearing on the instant motion.  (Information, pgs. 4-5.)

          Accordingly, Plaintiff’s motion is continued to January 2, 2025, at 8:30 AM.
