Plaintiff Buchalter’s Request for Default Judgment

 

          Having considered all documents submitted in support of a default judgment, the Court rules as follows:

 

Background

On January 2, 2025, Plaintiff Buchalter (“Plaintiff”) filed their operative Complaint for breach of contract, account stated, open book account, and reasonable value of service against Defendant Triangle International aka Triangle Group Companies, LLC (“Defendant”).

On May 2, 2025, the clerk entered default against Defendant. On May 2, 2025, Plaintiff filed Request for Court Judgment to be heard on May 19, 2025.

 

Party’s Request

Plaintiff requests the Court to enter a default judgment against Defendant and award Plaintiff a judgment of $92,829.88 consisting of $64,320.27 in damages, $27,804.36 in prejudgment interest at a rate of 10%, and $705.25 in costs.

 

Discussion

Plaintiff submitted a completed default judgment packet, with all applicable attachments. The Court finds sufficient evidence to justify the requested award and grants Plaintiff’s request in full.

 

Conclusion

The application for default judgment filed on May 2, 2025, is granted.  Judgment of $92,829.88 is entered against Defendant Triangle International aka Triangle Group Companies, LLC.

Plaintiff is ordered to give notice of this ruling.
