Judge: David A. Hoffer, Case: 30-2022-01285133, Date: 2023-07-31 Tentative Ruling
The Motion for a Protective Order filed by Defendants Amazon.com, Inc. and Amazon Logistics, Inc. on 3/6/23 is MOOT.
The Motion for a Protective Order specifies in the Conclusion that Amazon is “requesting the Court grant a Protective Order continuing [the PMK depositions] to a date after April 23, 2023, so the Court can rule on Amazon’s prior Motion for Protective Order.” The request is not for a protective order as to the deposition categories themselves, but rather to continue the deposition to a date after the court had ruled on the then-pending Motion for Protective Order that had been filed earlier. The court has already heard and ruled on that motion. As such, the relief requested in this Motion is moot.
To the extent that the parties cannot agree on the terms of a protective order, the court previously indicated that it would not litigate this subject but will set an informal discovery conference or refer the matter to a referee. The parties should appear at the hearing prepared to discuss this issue.
Moving party is ordered to give notice.
