Plaintiff Masoumeh Azali’s motion to compel Defendant Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC’s further responses to special interrogatories, nos. 14, 40-45, and 57, is granted.

The party responding to the interrogatories must “respond in writing under oath separately to each interrogatory . . .” (Code Civ. Proc., § 2030.210, subd. (a); see also Code Civ. Proc., § 2030.250, subd. (a) [“The party to whom the interrogatories are directed shall sign the response under oath unless the response contains only objections”].)  Defendant served second, supplemental responses on July 31, 2023, but these responses were not verified. (Cho Decl., at ¶ 4, Exh. C [ROA 42].) Defendant must serve further response that is verified. Accordingly, the motion is granted.                                                                                                                                                                                                       

Within 20 days of the notice of ruling, Defendant shall serve second, supplemental responses with verifications.

Plaintiff shall give notice of the ruling.
