The complaint in this Song-Beverly Warranty Act case was filed on February 19, 2021. The parties have had months of back and forth regarding Defendant’s objections to categories identified in Plaintiff’s Notice of Deposition of Person Most Knowledgeable. Defendant continues to object to some of the categories as being overly broad and ambiguous, but it has stated its willingness to provide a witness to answer other categories. Both parties allege that the meet and confer efforts have been lacking. Further, the parties have been unable to find a mutually agreed upon date for the deposition.

This motion was filed on December 2, 2022. Defendant’s opposition was filed on January 26, 2023. Plaintiff filed his reply on January 31, 2023.

            The Court will not decide the motion on the merits at this time.

            An Informal Discovery Conference will be scheduled regarding Defendant’s remaining objections and finding a date for the deposition.
