On August 23, 2022, the Clerk of the Court rejected LUCITA O. WOZNIAK’s application for appointment as guardian ad litem on the grounds that the minor JOCELYN S. JIMENEZ is fifteen years old, and a minor of 14 years of age or older must petition the court on her own behalf and must be identified as the applicant in item 1 of the application.

Plaintiff must immediately file a new application for appointment as guardian ad litem that corrects this defect.  If Plaintiff is able to file and serve a corrected application for appointment as guardian ad litem prior to 8:30 am on August 23, 2022, the hearing on the petition to approve minor’s compromise will proceed as scheduled at 8:30 am on August 23, 2022.  Otherwise, the petition to approve minor’s compromise will have to be continued to another date.
