On January 10, 2023, Leslie S. Ahari filed an application to appear as counsel pro hac vice for Defendant XL Specialty Insurance Company. 

 

On January 11, 2023, Scott N. Godes filed an application to appear as counsel pro hac vice for Plaintiffs DigitalBridge Group, Inc. (f/k/a Colony Capital, Inc.) and DigitalBridge Operating Company, LLC (f/k/a Colony Capital Operating Company, LLC).

 

On January 27, 2023, Daniel G. Enriquez filed an application to appear as counsel pro hac vice for Defendant Twin City Fire Insurance Co.

 

On February 16, 2023, Matthew Mawby filed an application to appear as counsel pro hac vice for Defendant Great American Insurance Co.

 

On February 17, 2023, Jordan W. Ziolkowski filed an application to appear as counsel pro hac vice for Defendant Freedom Specialty Insurance Company.

 

On February 23, 2023, Darius N. Kandawalla filed an application to appear as counsel pro hac vice for Defendant Freedom Specialty Insurance Company.

 

On March 1, 2023, Matthew W. Beato filed an application to appear as counsel pro hac vice for Defendant U.S. Specialty Insurance Company.

 

On March 3, 2023, in the interest of judicial economy, the Court reset Counsel Scott N. Godes, Justin S. Levy, Leslie S. Ahari, Daniel G. Enriquez, Matthew Mawby, Darius N. Kandawalla, Matthew W. Beato, and Jordan W. Ziolowski’s applications to be admitted pro hac vice to be heard together on March 15, 2023.

 

The applications by Counsel successfully address all six content requirements outlined in California Rules of Court, Rule  9.40(d).  Specifically, each Counsel provides in their application: (1) their residence and office address; (2) the courts to which Counsel has been admitted to practice and the dates of admission; (3) that Counsel is a member in good standing in those respective courts; (4) that Counsel is not currently suspended or disbarred in any court; (5) the title of each court and cause in which the applicants have filed an application to appear as counsel pro hac vice in this state in the preceding two years, and whether or not it was granted if any; and (6) the name, address, and telephone number of an active members of the State Bar of California who is the current counsel of record for the respective party that Counsels are seeking to represent pro hac vice in the instant action.

 

Further, each Counsel demonstrates that they have met the requirement of California Rules of Court, Rule  9.40(c)(1). That rule provides: “a person desiring to appear as counsel pro hac vice in a superior court must file with the court a verified application together with proof of service . . . of a copy of the application and of the notice on all parties who have appeared in the cause and on the State Bar of California at its San Francisco office.”

The application of Leslie S. Ahari to appear as counsel pro hac vice for Defendant XL Specialty Insurance Company is GRANTED.

 

The application of Scott N. Godes to appear as counsel pro hac vice for Plaintiffs DigitalBridge Group, Inc. (f/k/a Colony Capital, Inc.) and DigitalBridge Operating Company, LLC (f/k/a Colony Capital Operating Company, LLC) is GRANTED.
