6/13/25:

All parties stipulate in open court today to consolidation of Hayes vs Swissport Cargo Services, L.P., 24STCV31310 ( the Class Action) and Hayes vs Swissport Cargo Services, L.P., 25TRCV00293 (the PAGA action) into one case under the lead case number, 24STCV31310.  It is so ordered.  By stipulation of all parties, Hayes vs Swissport Cargo Services, L.P., 24STCV31310 ( the Class Action) and Hayes vs Swissport Cargo Services, L.P., 25TRCV00293 (the PAGA action) are hereby consolidated into one action under the lead case number, 24STCV31310.  All future filings in the consolidated action should be made in the lead case number, 24STCV31310.

The Court has read and considered the Joint Status Report filed in Hayes vs Swissport Cargo Services, L.P., 24STCV31310 (lead case).  The Joint Status Report reflects that Plaintiff agrees not to object to a stay of all proceedings in the above referenced actions above pending the outcome of the February 11, 2026 mediation (which will tentatively be rescheduled for March 2, 2026) in a related action entitled Gallardo v. Swissport Cargo Services, L.P., Case No. 24STCV25259 before Monique Ngo-Bonnici, Esq.

All parties indicate in court today that in light of the parties’ joint request for a lengthy stay and continuance of the status conference, they are willing to stipulate to extend the deadline for the last day by which trial must commence to avoid a dismissal under Code of Civil Procedure section 583.310 to at least November 26, 2030.  The parties expect to file such stipulation and proposed order by no later than June 23, 2025.

For now, the status conference is CONTINUED to July 22, 2025 at 10 am.  If the parties file a written stipulation to extend the deadline for the last day by which trial must commence to avoid a dismissal under Code of Civil Procedure section 583.310 to at least November 26, 2030, the Court will consider a request to further continue the status conference to a date after the anticipated mediation in the Gallardo matter (24STCV25259).

Prior to finalizing this minute order, the Court posted it on the LASC tentative ruling website, and all parties agreed to its contents.
