Matthew E. Lewitz of Cozen O’Connor’s Motion to be Relieved as Counsel (UNOPPOSED)

Attorney Lewitz and Cozen O’Connor move to be relieved as counsel for defendant Jean de Merry. Counsel has been unable to confirm defendant’s address, so has not been able to serve the motion. The motion indicates counsel mailed the papers to the client’s last known address, called the client’s last known telephone number, and contacted the client via email to request his address, to no avail. It is not clear whether Mr. Lewitz has done anything else to try to determine a service address, such as conducting online research or contacting persons familiar with the client.

Before this motion can be granted, Lewitz must provide the court with a detailed declaration indicating he has exhausted all avenues to determine defendant’s address.
