Plaintiff Gursey Schneider’s Petition for Confirmation of Arbitration Award (UNOPPOSED)

CPA petitioner Gursey Schneider initiated contractual arbitration against defendant MacDonald, alleging failure to pay for accounting services. Petitioner moves to have the arbitrator’s award confirmed and judgment entered.

Under Cal. Code of Civ. Proc. §1285, any party to an arbitration in which an award has been made may petition the court to confirm the award. If the award is confirmed, judgment shall be entered in conformity therewith. Id. §1287.4.

Petitioner properly moved under §1285 for confirmation of the award. As there is no opposition, there is no basis for the court to decline to confirm the arbitration award and enter judgment. GRANTED.
