Tentative Ruling
Doe v. Olson, Case No. SC126806
Hearing Date December 14, 2022
Attorney Kanani’s Motion to be Relieved as Counsel for Plaintiff (UNOPPOSED)

Attorney Benjamin F. Kanani moves to be relieved as counsel on the grounds that plaintiff Jane Doe no longer wishes him to serve as her attorney and has sued him for malpractice. This is a sufficient basis to grant his motion to be relieved. Plaintiff has not filed opposition.

The court’s records do not indicate Kanani served opposing parties with the motion or filed Judicial Council Form MC-053, a proposed order granting the motion. The motion may not be granted until these issues have been rectified. The motion will be continued to allow for proper service. If counsel have been served, but this was not reflected in the moving papers, the motion may be granted once the proposed order is filed.
