Petitioner
Tara International Trading Inc. (“Petitioner”) filed their Petition to Confirm Arbitration
Award on October 27, 2022. Hearing was set for December 9, 2022, at which time Petitioner’s
counsel requested extension to allow them time to serve the petition on Respondent.
The request was granted, and hearing was set for February 10, 2023. On January
25, 2023 the parties reached a settlement on Case No:21BBCV00818. The terms of
that settlement agreement included dismissal of the instant case, but Petitioner
has not filed a dismissal as of this hearing date.
As such,
the Court will reschedule the hearing to allow for the filing of the dismissal or,
barring that, service of the petition on the Respondent. The Court sets the matter as follows:
Hearing on
Petition to Confirm Arbitration Award filed by Petitioner Tara International
Trading Inc. is scheduled for May 23, 2023 at 09:00 AM in Department A at
Burbank Courthouse.
