MOTION TO BE RELIEVED
AS COUNSEL
MOVING PARTIES: Attorneys Raffi Kassabian,
Arin Pezeshkian, and Sareen Bezdikian of Bezdik Kassab Law Group
RESPONDING PARTY: None.
RELIEF REQUESTED
Raffi Kassabian, Arin Pezeshkian, and Sareen
Bezdikian, counsel of record for defendant Ahang Mirshojae, seeks to be relieved
as counsel for that party. Counsel filed
a motion with the required forms MC-051, MC-052, and MC-053. Counsel’s declaration states that irreconcilable
differences have arisen between counsel’s firm and Defendant making effective
representation unreasonably difficult to carry out. Counsel and Defendant are not able to reach
consent on this case. Counsel served
Plaintiff with the moving papers via mail and communicated in person on
December 20, 2024. (See Form MC-052
filed 2/25/2025.)
Absent a showing of resulting prejudice, an attorney’s
request for withdrawal should be granted.¿ (People v. Prince¿(1968) 268
Cal.App.2d 398, 406.)¿ There is no showing of prejudice, and counsel’s motion
complies with California Rules of Court, Rule 3.1362 and meets its
requirements.
Motion to be relieved as counsel is granted.
Moving party to give notice.
