RULING: Petition for minor’s compromise is approved.

SUMMARY OF ACTION

On July 10, 2021, Plaintiff Andrea Morfin (Plaintiff), her mother Isela Morfin, and her brother Manuel Morfin were injured in a car accident. On February 17, 2023, Plaintiffs filed their complaint.

Plaintiff submits a petition for approval of minor’s compromise on behalf of Andrea Morfin (17) for a settlement with Defendant Michael Christopher Quinones for $8,000.00. Petitioner represents total deductions of $5,316.66 as follows: $2,650.00 in medical expenses, and $2,666.66 in attorney fees; thereby leaving a net balance of $2,683.34.

It appears that everything is in order to approve the Minor’s Compromise. The petition and proposed order were filed on the MC-350 and MC-351 forms. The petitions comply with CCP § 372; Probate Code §§ 3500, 3600-3613; and Cal. Rules of Court Rules 3.1384, 7.101, 7.950-7.952.

The Court approves the Petition to Confirm Minor’s Compromise filed on behalf of Andrea Morfin.
