Judge: Glenda Sanders, Case: 2014-00746312, Date: 2022-09-16 Tentative Ruling

1. Motion to Allow Counsel for Defendant to Appear Remotely for Trial and Related Proceedings

2. Status Conference (Remains on calendar.)

Under CRC, rule 3.672 (“Remote Proceedings”) the court may, in its discretion, require in-person appearances if it determines that an in- person appearance would materially assist in the determination of the proceeding or in the effective management or resolution of the case. (CRC 3.672 (d) (1)).

Due to this Court’s unavailability to try this case in January 2023, this case will be tried by another judge. The Court considers that it should be the trial judge’s decision as to whether he/she will, in his/her discretion, allow the remote appearance of an attorney at a jury trial.

The Court accordingly continues this motion to November 4, 2022 at 1:30 PM in Department CX 101 for the trial judge’s determination.

Plaintiff to give notice.
